Optimal design of a composite sandwich structure by Particle Swarm Optimization method    5
This study shows the optimization method of a new complex structural model [laminated carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) deck plates with aluminium (Al) stiffeners]. The structure was designed for both minimal cost and minimal weight taking into consideration 7 design constraints.

Hypersingular integral equation method for stress computation in the dual system of plane elasticity     9
In this paper the hypersingular integral equation method in the dual system of elasticity is applied to some boundary value problems. The accuracy of stress computations on the boundary is greatly increased if one applies hypersingular integral equations instead of utilizing the traditional computational techniques of the boundary element method. It is a further advantage of applying the dual formulation that the stress components can be computed directly by taking the derivatives of the stress functions of order one.

Experience of wearing of the new welded bucket and cutting tooth of bucket ladder excavator     15
The description of the rock cutting process is very complex. Thus the investigation of the effect of lateral forces was complicated through cutting tests. A finite element analysis of cutting tooth was presented in which the linear increase of the lateral force is taken into consideration. The simulation results have shown that the maximum stresses decrease if the lateral force increases. Operative results show the correctness of the simulation.

IMPRESSION OF NATURAL INTUITION TO PRACTICE OF PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT     23
The design rules and solutions of nature have been present in the machine and product design since their beginning. Engineers can use these natural constructions in different fields of technical practice. This paper focuses on the classification of these analogies and probability distribution according to direction and consciousness of using.

Creating technological feature-based model for automated fixture design     27
During the fixture planning there are many often recurring tasks. If we could automate these tasks, we could save the process engineer of a tiring and often time consuming activity. In order to we can automate the fixture planning we need the CAD model of the workpiece and the fixture elements, and the feature-based model of the workpiece. In this paper those steps are introduced that are needed for conversation of the CAD model into feature-based model.

Finite Element Investigation of the Thermo-Elastic Processes of a Tread-Braked Monoblock Railway Wheel     33
Authors present a FEM based computing method suitable for determination of the thermal processes arising in railway wheels during braking. It was investigated whether the necessary conditions of martensite formation are satisfied in railway wheels.

PLASTIC PARTS GAIN METHODS WITH CARBON NANOTUBES STRUCTURES     38
Carbon nanutubes are applied for strengthening of different composites containing polymer matrix. Paper describes the properties of polymer structures reinforced by nanotubes. Based on the application of Brenner’s potential function an algorithm was developed for finding the weakest point of the structure.

GEOMETRIC ANALYSIS OF FACE GEAR HOB OF CONICAL WORM GEAR DRIVE HAVING ARCHED PROFILE IN AXIAL SECTION     42
Authors developed a mathematical model for the analysis of resharpening of conical worm used for manufacturing of a face gear built in their newly patented worm gear drive. It was found by the computer analysis that the resizing limit degree is approximately five degrees.
