COMPARATIVE STUDY OF PARTICLE SWARM OPTIMIZATION AND ARTIFICIAL BEE COLONY ALGORITHMS     5
In this work greedy comparison between particle swarm optimization and artificial bee colony algorithms was made using different test functions. Each algorithm was explained in detail, and the mathematical model behind the algorithms has been presented. It is found that particle swarm optimization is better than artificial bee colony and for a specific test function, artificial bee had failed to find a feasible solution.

CALCULATION OF THE WELDING COST OF A PRESSURE VESSEL     9
Pressure vessels play an important role in engineering today. Therefore, minimizing the costs associated with them can be crucial, either in terms of cost of production or cost of operation. These devices are often made with welded joints.  Therefore, choosing the right welding technology and filler material is an important point in saving costs. From the operation side, the cost of maintenance and the number of cycles to failure during the operation.

IMPLEMENTATION OF FPA ALGORITHM ON MASSIVLY PARALLEL ARCHITECTURE     16
Evolutionary algorithms are powerful tools for solving non-linear, multidimensional optimization problems. Solving large-scale problems is often time consuming. Evolution of GPUs (Graphics Processing Unit) in recent years allows them to be used for general purpose calculations. In this paper the implementation of the FPA (Flower Pollination Algorithm) algorithm on GPU and the results are presented.

LIFT TABLE DESIGN, BASIC ENGINEERING     20
In this work basic engineering is shown in the group of lift table constructions. This kind of tables are used to lift smaller or larger masses. Platform lengths and widths can be very different. The number of scissors in the construction in vertical or horizontal directions has a great effect on applicability and loadings. The survey shows that to find an innovative design in order to have a minimum mass or cost construction, it is not easy.

CFD ANALYSIS OF FINNED TUBE HEAT TRANSFER PROCESS     27
This paper aimed to fulfil the parametric analysis on the heat performance of a compact automotive radiator using computational fluid dynamics (CFD). The analysis has been carried out at different air velocities with different fins modelling such as real fins and as porous media. The used CFD software to this study was SC-Tetra.

OPTIMISATION OF A WELDED PORTAL FRAME FOR MINIMUM MASS AND MAXIMUM UTILIZATION     32
The optimisation in this study is shown on a sway frame structure made of welded I-section members. Structural stress, stability constraints, frame strength, and load-bearing capacities were all considered. The load-bearing capacity of the structure was maximised – using a FEM (Final Element Method) AXIS package for the simulation. We have shown, that great reduction of the frame mass can be achieved with optimization.

DESIGN AND MEASUREMENT OF HONEYCOMB COMPOSITE PANELS WITH APPLICATION     36
The aim of this paper was to develop new honeycomb sandwich composite structures. The lightweight containers provide a huge savings in weight and thus reduce fuel consumption or increase aircraft turnover compared to conventional containers. According to the International Air Transport Association (IATA) calculations, the weight of fuel required to carry 1kg additional weight per hour is 0.04 kg.
