ABSTRACT
The aim of this research is to design the pipe frame structure of a Formula Student race car. The design considers the aspects defined in the regulations and is adapted to the chassis geometry. The pipe frame structure is designed in a CAD design program (SolidWorks) considering the dynamic properties of the chassis geometry. The engine to be installed in the race car is a single-cylinder internal combustion engine, the positioning of which in the pipe frame and the definition of the appropriate connection points must be ensured. Based on experience from previous design processes, the optimisation of driving stability and torsional stiffness will be provided as a result of the study.
