ABSTRACT
Hedge trimmers are handheld gardening power tools, used in households, where hedges or weaker vegetations are present. The aim of this paper is to investigate the mechanical behavior of a hedge trimmer that uses a circular eccentric disc firstly from a kinematic point of view, then from a vibration measurement point of view. During the vibration measurement, the FFT – Fast Fourier Transformation procedure is used to determine the source of vibration. This paper also aims to show how the different components affect the already mentioned vibration measurement results.
