ABSTRACT
The grapho- analytical optimization technique is based on the Kuhn- Tucker optimality criterium and it is applied for the solution of a three- dimensional optimization problem. The graphic part of the solution shows in three dimension the structure of the problem, while the analytical side of the solution gives the possibility of high accuracy of the optimum result. The optimization method is applied for the numerical example of a I beam subjected to bending and tension.
