ABSTRACT
In this research work, the authors compare the tribological parameters of Ni-P and Ni-B coatings. The friction coefficients and wear of Ni-P-I, Ni-P-II and Ni-B coatings are investigated using different methods and the test results are analysed using microhardness measurement, abrasion test and determination of the coefficient of friction as a function of time, determination of wear volume loss by measuring microscopy, scanning electron microscopy to determine the morphology and thickness of coating types and the chemical composition of wear marks, and calculation of the wear coefficient.
