ABSTRACT
The load capacities of the elements of a frame structure are usually well reflected by the deflection values of the elements. The deflection values may vary depending on the direction of load applied to the machine element and the type of gripping method chosen. In this sense, the aluminium profiles used in machine building can be considered as similar frame elements, whose deflection values can be determined by conventional calculation or by using a finite element program.
