ABSTRACT
This study examines the temperature-dependent efficiency degradation of different solar panel technologies (traditional, PERC, PERC + UV reflective foil) in a simulated environment. Using Simulink software, we modeled the behavior of these technologies on a hot August day in Miskolc, with an external temperature of 30-35°C and solar radiation intensity of 950-1050 W/m². The results show that PERC + UV technology significantly reduced panel temperatures, thereby slowing efficiency loss, particularly in hot climates. Compared to traditional solar panels, the PERC technology panels operated at lower temperatures, improving energy efficiency and extending their lifespan.
